When the crisis hits, react immediately
React and behave appropriately from the outset
Define the right message according to the situation
Bring these messages to a variety of audiences
Even if a crisis is anticipated, when it hits it is characterised by unpredictability, urgency and stress.
To overcome this, organisations and individuals must learn to put what they have prepared into practice while maintaining objectivity and control. This is particularly true of unexpected crises.
Being able to assess a situation from an outsider’s perspective is also essential, as is a sober assessment of the risks, and especially giving the right level of support to those individuals who will have to deliver the message under pressure.
This is an additional module designed to tackle a three-day crisis deadline. Depending on the brief, Mediacoaching can either lead the session alone or with the help of a crisis communication consultant, bringing double the expertise. All communication exercises are based around the deadline, situation and audiences concerned.
